TextRay support
Contact hello@burritoslabs.com. Include the TextRay version, macOS version and a short description of what happened. Do not send activation codes or private documents. Nothing is sent automatically by this screen.
Initial supported release: Apple silicon Macs running macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 or later within the qualified Tahoe release line. Intel and earlier macOS systems are not yet runtime-qualified, although the app is built as a universal binary. New major macOS versions require qualification before being claimed as supported.
Start the full 30-day trial in TextRay → License & Trial. No card or account is needed. At expiry you can still read, copy, search, save and recover your text. Purchase once for TextRay 1.x on two personal Macs. Future major upgrades are optional.
To move a license, enter your activation/recovery code in License & Trial, choose Manage devices, then Release slot for the old Mac. Recover a code using your purchase email. A saved license backup belongs to this installation, not any Mac you copy it to.
Updates: choose TextRay → Check for Updates. Updates and their feeds require valid signatures. Update checks are manual by default. The installer waits for TextRay to close safely and replaces only the verified app bundle. Your library and Keychain records stay in place. If TextRay cannot save work before quitting, resolve that failure before installing.
Keep independent backups. TextRay’s history and iCloud sync do not replace them. If a file’s original location is unavailable, retained text remains in the library; use Save As to write another file. Storage, file and iCloud status are intentionally separate.
